My second column for Open Space was about the collages I have been making since 1993. My collages appear on my books, my chapbooks, and books by other writers. They have been exhibited at, among other places, the Dock Arts Centre in Carrick-on-Shannon in Ireland, in an exhibit curated by Alice Lyons and supported with a grant from the US Embassy in Dublin. The essay includes slide shows of series of collages, including “Dark White,” and ends with an ars poetica, a poem called “Small Square” that was published in my second book, Wite Out.
